New York…just like I pictured it

August 14, 2012 · Film Photography, Holga

In June I visited NYC to hang out with friends, see the fantastic Cindy Sherman show at MOMA, the ‘Schiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conversations’ at the Met and Weegee at the International Center of Photography, visit The Impossible Project gallery and generally wander the streets with my camera.  The beauty of New York is I always find something that inspires me, whether it’s new (or new-ish more likely) or something I’ve photographed before.  I also fell in love again with Tri-X, a film that completely suits the contrasts of this city. (Thanks to Neneh Cherry’s ‘Inna City Mamma’ for the title inspiration.)

Camera: Holga 120N, Film: Kodak Tri-X 400

  1. Gotta love double exposures!

  2. That was deliberate, but it’s also fun when I forget and am surprised.
