Honored for my Honorable Mention

June 26, 2012 · Film Photography, Holga

I discovered today that one of my photos received an ‘Honorable Mention’ at the Prix de la Photographie, Paris (PX3) ‘Altered Images’ competition.  Once again, I’m fascinated by what image the judges chose.  The joy/pain of a jury show is the selection process can be so subjective.

Cows are such patient photography subjects.  These lovely creatures were photographed in Askillaun, near Louisburgh, Co. Mayo, Ireland.

  1. Wonderful image, and congratulations on the prize, it’s well deserved! There is such a feeling of accomplishment when you get recognized for your work.

    • Thank you Dave. I hear you on getting recognized for our work. Sometimes it’s difficult to share, but so gratifying when we’re brave and we do.
